Samsung's new products - Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear, hit the Indian stores on Wednesday, a few weeks after it was launched in Berlin.
The company's third-generation Galaxy Note 3 sports a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with full HD 1920x1080p display resolution and comes with Android mobile OS v4.3 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. It is powered by Exynos 5420 Octa-Core chipset and has 3GB RAM and 32GB storage space which can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card. The device is priced at Rs. 49,900 in India.
On the other hand, Galaxy Gear sports a 1.3-inch Super AMOLED display with 320x320p resolution. It has a 1.9-megapixel camera which boasts of BSI sensor and auto-focus feature, and can record HD 720p video. It has an 800 MHz processor with a 315 mAh Li-Ion battery and comes with 512MB RAM, 4GB memory, two microphones and a speaker.
The new smartwatch also comes pre-loaded with Safety Assistance applications, which is useful during emergencies. Pressing the power button three times will automatically send the user's geographical data to a pre-designated set of people through SMS. The device is priced Rs. 22,990 in India.
